Nolan's departure shouldn't come as a surprise after her comments on how she felt like an odd fit for this booth.
"I was like, are they confused? Do they know what I do?"
"I just was in my head, I was freaked out, I was worried I was going to get fired after one shift of this gig."
“I interviewed for it. Got a little ahead of myself thinking I was gonna get it."
After four years, Nolan and ESPN have parted ways.
"And to the audience, ain't nothing sticking around for 10 years unless it lands with somebody, and this has landed with a lot of people. Thank you for allowing all of us to have the opportunity to do something that could connect with you, in different ways, through different people, and at different times."
Always Late last aired an episode in early 2020, and Nolan today revealed it was canceled last year.
"Normally I'd be like, 'Well, then I go.' But now, I can't do that."
Did that person really just join the call?
ESPN is going after the teen market with a simulcast aimed directly at them.
"I wasn't mad at him, I was mad at the network. Like, 'I told you. I know this show better than anyone else. Cris Carter is incredible, but he will not work on this show. It's not going to work for him.' They didn't listen."
