Kevin Harlan called a fan on the field during Super Bowl LV.

Over the years, Kevin Harlan has delivered a ton of great broadcast moments, from his actual calls of game highlights to requesting Magic City chicken wings during a NBA game to making tremendous calls of beer spills, half-court shots and Burger King promos. But something he’s maybe become even more known for is play-by-play of field invaders, from cats to many, dumb people. After calling a 2016 field invasion, he even received a Tonight Show invitation (he had to decline thanks to travel issues) to call pedestrians walking down the street, but he said in 2017 that he was done getting into calling field invaders. Harlan has continued to rise to the occasion when the moment’s right, though, and he did just that on the Westwood One radio broadcast of Super Bowl LV Sunday when a fan ran on the field:

“5:03 to go, and someone has run on the field, a guy with a bra! And now, he’s not being chased, he’s running down the middle! The 40! Arms in the air, and a victory salute! He’s pulling down his pants! PUT UP YOUR PANTS, MY MAN! PULL UP THOSE PANTS! He’s being chased to the 30, he breaks a tackle from a security guard, at the 20, down the middle, the 10, the five, he slides at the one, and they converge on him at the goal line! PULL UP YOUR PANTS, TAKE OFF THE BRA AND BE A MAN! And the players with hands on hips at the other side of the field are looking on at him and saying ‘Why, oh why, is this taking place in a Super Bowl?'”

That’s a delightful call, and it illustrates how good Harlan is in these moments. Thank goodness he didn’t actually give up on calling fans on the field.
