As we mentioned yesterday, numerous elite European teams are coming to North America this summer to train for the beginning of their regular seasons. One of the likely headliners of these series will be the International Champions Cup. Not only will that tourney have the biggest-name venues (Yankee Stadium, Rose Bowl, Heinz Field, Soldier Field, Michigan Stadium), but it also has a solid TV deal with Fox.

Fox, Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 will televise every game of the exhibition tournament, 13 in all. Fox receives two plum matches featuring Manchester United, including a sold-out showdown with Real Madrid in front of 100,000 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. Fox Sports 1 will televise the championship game.

It’s worth noting that for most of these games, Fox will be sending their own crews out to televise them. For the network, that’s key, as they’ve often stuck broadcasters in the Fox television center calling matches off of monitors. The summer series kicks off July 24th.

(UPDATE): Upon posting this, we received a note from Fox’s PR department: They have licensed two International Champions Cup matches to NBC, who will air the games (Manchester United-Inter Milan on July 29th, AC Milan-Liverpool on August 2) on NBCSN. Smart move for NBCSN, who gets two of the bigger EPL franchises on their network a few weeks prior to the start of the season. The revised schedule is below:

July 24, 8 p.m. ET – Olympiakos vs. AC Milan (FS1)
July 26, 4 p.m. ET – Manchester United vs. AS Roma (Fox)
July 26, 5 p.m. ET – Real Madrid vs. Inter Milan (FS2)
July 27, 4 p.m. ET – AC Milan vs. Manchester City (FS1)
