As if getting posterized during a playoff loss wasn’t demoralizing enough, Miami Heat forward Caleb Martin was savagely trolled by the Boston Celtics’ TV broadcast after the game.

The Boston Celtics took a commanding 3-1 lead over the Miami Heat with a 102-88 win Monday night. And midway through the fourth quarter, Celtics star Jayson Tatum underscored the win with a ferocious dunk that sent Caleb Martin to the ground. But Martin didn’t just get knocked down by the dunk, it looked like he may have suffered whiplash after taking a knockout punch from Tatum’s groin.

After the game, Tatum was interviewed by NBC Sports Boston, the TV home of the Celtics, and the chyron shamelessly labeled the All-Star, “Father of Deuce and Caleb.” “Caleb” referring to Caleb Martin after the thunderous dunk.

Usually, the chyron during a postgame interview will list the player’s stats. But NBC Sports Boston opted for the much more creative “Father of Deuce and Caleb,” leaving the label on the screen for about 10 seconds before pulling the chyron.

Tatum is actually the father of Jayson “Deuce” Christopher Tatum Jr, his six-year-old son. But to be clear, the 26-year-old Tatum is not the biological father of the 28-year-old Martin. On the court, however, NBC Sports Boston seemed comfortable stating that Tatum is Martin’s daddy. This coming from a city that knows “Who’s your daddy?” chants well. But if there ever was a dunk that could make someone worthy of being another player’s father, Tatum’s slam on Martin was it.
