On Monday, the St. Louis Rams (along with the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers) filed applications to move to Los Angeles. Located within the Rams’ filing was a note about a poll on ESPN LA regarding which of the three teams fans would prefer to move to Los Angeles.
There was no source for the poll aside from “ESPN LA”, and some were questioning where the results came from. But ESPN LA’s Arash Markazi knows where the poll is from – his Twitter account.
The Rams used my Twitter poll (citing it as ESPN LA) in their relocation application submitted to the NFL on Monday. pic.twitter.com/EC8fB15vAi

Yup – the Rams cited a Twitter poll from an ESPN writer in their official application to move from St. Louis to Los Angeles.
It’s pretty ridiculous that the Rams did this, but hey – the poll told them what they wanted to hear, so why not? It’s not as if the NFL is going to force them to prove the results.
