Even before this Saturday’s games were played, ESPN’s Brett McMurphy revealed that College GameDay will be heading to the Iron Bowl next Saturday. It’s the third time in four years that GameDay will be making the trip to the Auburn-Alabama game.

It makes sense, especially from the standpoint that ESPN will be televising the game for the first time since 2007. CBS will air the Mississippi State-Mississippi Egg Bowl for the first time on broadcast television since 1964 because they reached their maximum of Alabama games this season.
It’s the sixth time in ten weeks that GameDay will be traveling to an SEC school. Hopefully we’ll see an “Auburn cites Wikipedia” sign next week, too.
