Last Friday, NFL Network aired what was called “lost” footage of Super Bowl I. Using NFL Films footage and the NBC Radio call, plus a panel of seven men including host Chris Rose, the program called “Super Bowl I: The Lost Game” turned out to be a complete train wreck and received plenty of criticism in the media and on social media.

Well, it appears NFL Network has heard the criticism, and has decided to bring the Super Bowl I footage back with the NBC Radio call with Jim Simpson and George Ratterman, but without the seven-man panel that marred the original broadcast last week.

Yes, NFL Network will air Super Bowl I: The Lost Game once again this Friday. An NFL Media source has told Awful Announcing that even prior to last Friday, NFL Network officials knew there would be people who be interested in seeing game without the commentary. So the program will last 90 minutes with the NFL Films footage and the Jim Simpson call, plus an introduction by Chris Rose at the beginning of the broadcast and again at the start of the 2nd half.

Fans who had bitterly complained on social media will have the opportunity to see the game without the chatter. So sometimes, the complaints can be heard and the people can win.

The show will air this Friday on NFL Network at 8 p.m. ET and run until 9:30.
