Ahead of the Summer Olympics, NBC is unveiling another show catering to general fans.
On Tuesday, NBC announced that Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson will premiere July 26 on Peacock. The show will consist of eight episodes during the Summer Olympics, featuring Hart and Thompson recapping the “best and most unexpected moments” from the Paris Games. Additionally, Olympic Highlights will present “a mix of Olympic-themed in-studio competitions, conversations, and interviews.”
Both Hart and Thompson were quoted in NBC’s release hyping up the show.
Quote from Kevin Hart, Host and Executive Producer – “We can’t wait to be a part of the Paris Olympics and help hype up the audience with highlights from the best moments of the Games. We’re going for gold, everybody!”
Quote from Kenan Thompson, Host and Executive Producer – “Kev and I are super excited to be part of the Paris Olympics by recapping performances from some of the world’s best athletes. Let’s go Team U.S.A.!”
Through the Summer Olympics, there will be two or three episodes of Olympics Highlights each week, running through the conclusion of the Games on August 11.
Other Peacock content announced surrounding the Summer Olympics includes the Gold Zone whiparound show and Watch with Alex Cooper, a series of watch parties during events hosted by podcaster Alex Cooper. All events from the Summer Olympics will also be streamed live on Peacock, as announced last year.
Hart and Thompson serve as executive producers, with Hart’s Hartbeat producing. In December, the duo paired up to host 2023 Back That Year Up, a recap of 2023 with various guests.
