The ESPN to Good Morning America pipeline is a real and very powerful thing.  First it was Robin Roberts.  Then Josh Elliott.  Most recently Tony Reali.  And now it’s Tim Tebow’s turn.  The former Heisman winning quarterback and television rookie will add GMA duties onto his work at distant Disney cousin SEC Network.

Here’s the announcement from ABC:

ESPN and SEC Network Analyst Tim Tebow is joining “Good Morning America” as a contributor beginning Monday, September 15th, ABC News announced today. The first-ever college sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy will help launch GMA’s “Motivate Me Monday” series, featuring individuals and their amazing stories of triumph.  Tebow will appear in studio and live on location in towns across America with a wide-range of reports that motivate and inspire.

You know what?  Good for Tebow.  If he’s never going to step foot on a football field again, using his notorious positivity for a fluffy network morning show feature seems like as good a fit as anything else in this world.  “Motivate Me Monday” is made for Tebow, who gets excited when he gets to visit the DMV.

I just look forward to this real-life Bart’s People finally coming to our television screens.
