Kurt Busch is a talented NASCAR driver and a former series champion who also happens to be one of the biggest jerks in sports.

Busch’s bad attitude was on full display this weekend in Martinsville.  Busch won the race, but not without controversy as he was involved in an incident with Brad Keselowski.  The two exchanged insults through the media after the race and Busch was asked about Keselowski in an interview with ESPN’s Zubin Mehenti.

Busch visibly lost patience with Mehenti asking about Keselowski’s comments.  When Mehenti asked a follow up, Busch replied by calling Mehenti a clown.  Here’s a transcript of the exchange:

Mehenti: If he was standing right next to you in the garage, what would you say to him.
Busch: You know what, we won, we’re in the Chase, we have our job to do to be in the Top 16 so we’ve got our things we need to be worried about.  You clowns trying to egg us on isn’t going to do anything.

One of those people acted like a professional during that interview, and it certainly wasn’t Kurt Busch.

Of course, this is far from the first incident involving Busch and a member of the media.  During the 2011 season finale, Busch was caught on camera before an interview with ESPN’s Dr. Jerry Punch saying “can you get this mother****er out of my face?”  Busch was fired from Penske Racing shortly thereafter.  In 2012, he threatened Bob Pockrass of the Sporting News saying a probation at the time “refrains me from beating the s*** out of you right now because you ask me stupid questions.”

What a great guy and representative of the sport.

You stay classy, Kurt Busch.
