Giants pitcher Matt Cain threw what may have been one of the greatest single games in MLB history last night in San Francisco’s 10-0 victory over the Houston Astros.  Cain pitched the 22nd perfect game in MLB history and tied the record of Sandy Koufax for most strikeouts in a perfect game with 14 Ks.  It’s already the 2nd perfect game and 5th no-hitter of 2012.  The highlight of Cain’s perfecto was a diving catch by Giants right fielder Gregor Blanco in the top of the 7th inning… and in a miraculous series of events, MLB.com has made video embeddable with three calls of the play.  While the Giants TV call by Duane Kuiper and Jon Miller and radio call from Dave Flemming are solid, it’s the Spanish language call by Erwin Higueros (1:22 mark) that stands out.  I’m not quite sure what he’s saying, but I know the word “Superman” is used.  Given this amazing catch by Blanco and Cain’s performance, that seems to be a fitting word for the entire evening.
