This is our weekly look at the most popular — or in some cases our personal favorite — videos on Clippit over the past week. Clippit is an awesome app that allows us to quickly grab 30-second clips from several live TV broadcasts and share them on social media.
Charles Barkley clowns LaVar Ball’s college basketball career during NCAA Tournament coverage
I’m pretty sick of the LaVar Ball stuff and am really trying to not draw attention to it anymore, but this line Charles Barkley had about Ball’s career at Washington State was pretty great:
“He averaged two more points than a dead man.”
Barkley also had some pretty straightforward analysis about Northern Kentucky before their first-round game vs Kentucky:
“Listen, I don’t know a lot about the Norse, but I don’t have to know a lot about ’em. Cause they’re gonna be gone in about three hours.”
Uncle Verne takes a basketball to the face
Verne Lundquist and Jim Spanarkel were getting ready to call West Virginia-Notre Dame when a basketball nailed Uncle Verne in the face. Thankfully the legendary broadcaster was fine and we can laugh about it:
More NCAA Tournament fun
My favorite call so far of the tourney comes from Ian Eagle:
“Ooooh! A March wedgie!”
I feel like Ian Eagle doesn't get enough love. He's especially fantastic this time of the year.

Bill Raftery has been awesome this tournament, as always.
Speaking of Raftery, he was involved in a funny moment with his broadcasting partners Jim Nantz and Grant Hill when CBS dealt with a power failure. The three announcers shared one mic to conclude the game, and Hill said, “I feel like one of the Temptations here.”
