Former L.A. Times sports editor Angel Rodriguez reassigned from masthead news role to special projects role
Some of Rodriguez's moves during his time running the Times sports department have come under recent fire, including his hiring of Arash Markazi and an aborted deal with the Pac-12. He's now been reassigned from an assistant managing editor for news role to a special projects role.
