Zach LaVine made his return to the NBA court — and his Chicago Bulls debut — less than a month ago after recovering from a torn ACL suffered Feb. 3 of 2017. Even after the knee surgery, the 22-year-old showed Monday night that he hasn’t lost much of the bounce that made him a two-time Slam Dunk Contest champion with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
LaVine threw down a vicious poster jam on Sacramento’s JaKarr Sampson in the second quarter of Monday night’s Bulls-Kings game. And not only was Sampson on the bad end of a poster dunk, but he also took a beating from longtime Bulls color commentator Stacey King:

“OOOOH! STOP IT SAMPSON! DID YOU NOT GET THE MEMO? HE DIDN’T COME FOR THE MASSAGE, HE CAME FOR THE FACIAL! OH MY GOODNESS! WOOO!”
“Oh my goodness! Watch this! Oh! Why Sampson, Why? I think he didn’t remember Zach LaVine was a dunk contest winner. Look at Sampson. Sampson’s upset. You know when you get dunked on you’re gonna push somebody. You late getting over there, but early for a poster. WHERE’S MY POSTER MACHINE AT?”

King hasn’t had the opportunity to make many dunk calls like that for the Bulls’ teams over the last few years. That sounded very much like his crazy (pre-ACL injury) Derrick Rose calls, like this Rose dunk on Goran Dragic in 2010:
