Iowa went into halftime of Friday’s Final Four game against UConn trailing 32-26. But while it wasn’t a great first half for Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes women’s basketball team, it didn’t end the season.

The Front Office Sports Twitter/X account, however, seemed to think otherwise.

At halftime, Front Office Sports tweeted a list of Clark’s accomplishments while in college, noting that she’s a two-time Naismith Award winner, two-time AP Player of the Year and three-time Big Ten Player of the Year. It also noted that Clark “Launched her own foundation” and “Signed with Nike, Gatorade, State Farm.” All of that was under the caption, “After four years, Caitlin Clark’s college career has come to an end.”

While the tweet was quickly deleted, Stewart Mandel of The Athletic got a photo of it. He tweeted it, joking “When you accidentally scheduled the scheduled tweet to run at halftime.”

As you can see, the game was not only over but it wasn’t a completely lopsided blowout, either. In fact, Iowa took a lead in the third quarter and the game was tied at 51 going into the fourth.
