With the Red Sox winning the World Series last night in Game 6, that meant it was the last time we’ll see Tim McCarver in the booth calling the World Series. After a record 24th World Series, here’s how McCarver and Fox said goodbye after the game. Whatever you think of him now, it is a very nice farewell. McCarver’s longevity and ability to predict things before they happened have certainly made their mark on the industry. Next year’s World Series will be the first time since 1999 that someone aside from Tim McCarver will analyze the games.
