Joe Buck’s Undeniable talk show, which features an in-depth 45-minute conversation with a single sports figure each week, is back for a second season on AT&T/DirecTV’s Audience Network this summer, and the guest list is pretty impressive. The second season will feature Buck interviewing former NFL LB and current Rams’ assistant coach Mike Singletary, three-time Olympic beach volleyball champion Kerri Walsh Jennings (who’s going for her fourth Olympic gold this summer), former NFL receiver and current USC AD Lynn Swann, MLB figures like Joe Torre and Tony La Russa, former NFL QB Brett Favre, and more. Here’s the trailer:
The in-depth, 45-minute single interview format seems to have worked well for Buck (who’s a busy man, doing this in addition to calling MLB, golf and the NFL), and the first season produced plenty of notable interviews, including ones with Derek Jeter and Jimmy Johnson. The guest list for this season looks strong, with a nice balance across sports and a good mix of both past and present figures, and the comments from some of the interviewees in the trailer certainly suggest we’ll see some interesting episodes this year. We’ll see how it plays out, but there’s lots here that should appeal to those who like in-depth sports interviews.
The new season of Undeniable debuts Wednesday, August 10 at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on Audience, channel 239 on DirecTV and channel 1114 on AT&T U-verse.
