Coming into this season we knew the Cleveland Browns would be bad, but we probably didn’t know they’d be THIS bad. You know, 0-12 bad outscored-by-155-points bad.

And no one, other than maybe the Browns’ players and coaches, are suffering more for this putrid season than local weatherman Scott Sabol, who vowed in September that he wouldn’t shave until Cleveland won a game and now has an unkempt mass of hair on his face.

Sabol has pulled these beard-growing stunts in the past—refusing to shave one winter until the temperature hit 60 degrees and later putting away his razor during a Cavaliers’ win streak—but a couple weeks ago he set his personal record for longest time without shaving, which had been 74 days.

Sabol could finally be off the hook this weekend, when the Browns host the 3-7-1 Bengals. After that they go to Buffalo to face 6-5 Bills, host the 5-6 Chargers and play at 6-5 Pittsburgh. Odds are that Cleveland wins one of those four games and lets Sabol finally shave, but if not, he could have a long 2017.

You’d imagine most Browns fans dread an 0-16 season, but Sabol has just a little bit more reason to worry.
