Mention Deflategate to anyone and most likely, that person will spit in an attempt to get the bad taste out of his or her mouth. The story has dragged on for eight long months and with the National Football League appealing the ruling by Judge Richard Berman last week, it appears the story looks like it won’t be dying anytime soon.

San Francisco radio talk show host Chip Franklin was discussing Deflategate on KGO Friday and then made the argument that he would take Tim Tebow over Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. That was enough for one listener who decided he had had enough and called into Franklin’s show. That person was none other than Tom Brady, Sr., yes, Tom Brady’s dad.

The elder Brady attacked Franklin’s assertion about taking Tebow over his son and then went after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell calling him a “flaming liar.”

We have the audio of the call and it ramps up as it goes along:

Give it to Tom Brady, Sr. for calling in to defend his son. No matter where you stand on the Patriots and its quarterback, if you want someone to have your back, who better than Tom Brady, Sr.?
