It’s been another busy week in sports media. We’re here to recap the biggest news and events that took place and share some of our best work from the week that was. Without further adieu:

Get ready for a two-part ’30 for 30′ on the Lakers-Celtics rivalry of the Magic-Bird era – Dec. 5 

ESPN has commissioned a ’30 for 30′ about the 1980s Celtics and Lakers rivalry. The network also announced it will produce the new John Calipari documentary set to air this spring.

Magic Johnson is returning to ESPN to once again appear on ‘NBA Countdown’ – Dec. 5

Johnson will return to ESPN’s ‘NBA Countdown’ on Christmas day. In late January, he’ll become a studio analyst for NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC.

Kevin Harlan, once again, made an amazing play-by-play call when two idiots decided to storm the field during Monday Night Football.

“Did you see that tackle!? OHHHHHH and the other guy is knocked down!” Harlan yelled

Yes, it was awesome.

ESPN’s Jason Fitz says he roots against Clemson due to fan behavior on social media – Dec. 7

CFB Daily’s Jason Fitz didn’t try to hide his impartiality towards Clemson and its fans, unleashing a bizarre rant against the school’s fans behavior on social media. Former ESPNer Peter Gammons was not impressed.

Joe Buck: “Each side somehow thinks I’m rooting against their team.” – Dec. 7 

Joe Buck stopped by Conan on TBS and discussed how tough it is to call play-by-play for a nationally televised game. He said “it sucks” opposing fans think he’s somehow rooting against their teams.
