It’s been another busy week in sports media. We’re here to recap the biggest news and events that took place and share some of our best work from the week that was. Without further adieu:

Dick Vitale rips Kansas fans for leaving early, Kansas promptly storms back for OT win – Feb. 14

Dick Vitale went in on Jayhawks fan who left Monday’s Kansas-West Virginia game early. Kansas was down 14 points with less than three minutes remaining.

Those fans, that left…I say SHAME on you. SHAME on you. You’re not a loyal Kansas fan. These kids deserve better.

Kansas ended up winning the game in overtime.

Mike Lupica is reportedly the reason why ESPN canceled the Sports Reporters (updated) – Feb. 14 

After ESPN canceled The Sports Reporters, sources told Page Six it was Mike Lupica’s diva attitude led to the show getting canned. John Skipper replied to the report and called it “completely inaccurate.”

James Harden roasts Stephen A. Smith for missing shots, tweets “stick to your day job” – Feb. 14

Stephen A. Smith shot some hoops with James Harden. It didn’t go well. Harden took to Twitter to tell him to “stick to your day job.”

President Trump declines invitation to fill out NCAA Tournament bracket on ESPN – Feb. 15

President Trump declined to continue Barack Obama’s tradition of filling out a NCAA bracket. ESPN reached out to Trump to continue the presidential bracket, but Trump declined the offer.

Dan Dakich draws Tom Izzo’s wrath after “ridiculous” remarks about Michigan State students – Feb. 16 

Tom Izzo called out Dan Dakich, who used Twitter to call the Spartans fans “dumb and whiny.” Dakich was booed during MSU-OSU with Spartans fans chanting “We hate Dakich”. Izzo called out Dakich post-game, saying he “embarrassed himself” and was “unprofessional.”
