Every once in a while, local news and sports segments will bring real animals to the set. Most of the time, they’re dogs and/or cats and they prove to be rather cute. But for some odd reason, Boston sports anchor Steve Burton had a real live alligator on the set of CBS Boston affiliate WBZ for a segment about reptiles that will be shown this Sunday on the station’s Sports Final show. It’s not the first time Burton has done this on Sports Final.

And for another odd reason, Burton was handling the real live gator when it began to get a little irritated or whatever alligators do when they get agitated. You can see where this is going. Luckily, we have the video:

And later, Burton explains why the alligator started to flail and tried to get out of his grasp.

Hand it to Burton, he kept the gator in his grip until the handler was able to grab it and take it away. And notice Burton straightened his suit afterwards. Got to look good on TV no matter what.
