We’ve all been taught the proper way to quit a job. Give your boss two weeks notice, get a decent recommendation from him or her and never burn a bridge. That is usually how it goes.
Then there’s the scorched earth policy used by former KTVA-TV reporter Charlo Greene when she quit her job Sunday in Anchorage, Alaska. Greene, who was doing a story on easier access to marijuana, suddenly admitted to being the owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club and announced that she was quitting her job immediately. And yes, she dropped the “F” bomb and walked off the set. Talk about a drop the mic moment.
“Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f$&k it, I quit.”
Take a look below. The video is NSFW.
KTVA’s news director apologized for Greene’s language and announced that she was terminated, but it’s safe to say that she wasn’t returning to work.
Shortly after she quit, Greene posted a rambling video on Indiegogo explaining why she quit her job and appealing for donations for her campaign to legalize pot in Alaska.
Greene did not burn the bridge, she completely blew it up.
