TBS Announces MLB Postseason Broadcasters

As you know, Chip Caray, who was the lead play-by-play man for last year’s MLB postseason, was canned. Taking his place for this year’s MLB postseason will be NBA on TNT studio host and Emmy winner Ernie Johnson. Johnson’s no stranger to the MLB booth though, as he also does play-by-play for the Braves games on Peachtree TV. His color man for those games, John Smoltz, will join him in the lead broadcasting group.

The broadcast pairings are below. If you’re looking for more information on the pairings, you can find it at Turner Sports.

Ernie Johnson (play-by-play), Ron Darling (analyst) and John Smoltz (analyst)
Brian Anderson (play-by-play) and Joe Simpson (analyst)
Dick Stockton (play-by-play) and Bob Brenly (analyst)
Don Orsillo (play-by-play) and Buck Martinez (analyst)

MLB.com has the postseason beginning on Wednesday, October 6.
