This isn’t normally in my line of posting, but Jay Glazer just broke the news that the Ravens have fired Billick and I want to do a little test. I got the information at about 1:30, so I’m going to see how long it takes Chris Mortensen to “break” the news himself. The over/under is set at 2:15pm.

Despite his insistence that his job was safe, the Brian Billick era in Baltimore is over.
The team fired their head coach Monday, FOXSports.com has learned, capping an extremely disappointing season.
This comes one day after FOX Sports reported that the players and other employees informed team owner Steve Biscotti that Billick had completely lost the locker room and could not win them back

UPDATE: The official time is 2:07pm on the first ESPN report. Len Pasquarelli was just on ESPN News and there was no mention of who broke the story. Here we go…..
“Less than a year after signing him to a contract extension through 2010, the Baltimore Ravens on Monday fired coach Brian Billick. The dismissal of Billick was confirmed to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen by owner Steve Bisciotti and to ESPN.com’s Len Pasquarelli by an assistant coach and a front office official.”
