Jimmy Kimmel is known for his viral video pranks, and one of his best recurring sketches happens to “Lie Witness News”, where he gets people on the street to react to fake news.
On Monday, Kimmel asked people for their reactions to the Los Angeles Kings winning the Stanley Cup. The only problems with that being: the Kings weren’t even in the Final, were bounced in the first round by the Western Conference champion San Jose Sharks, and the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Sharks to win the Cup.
Making matters worse? The people featured all claimed to be big Kings fans, and any Kings fan would’ve known the team was eliminated from the NHL playoffs in the first round by the Sharks.
That didn’t stop people from wanting to be on TV of course…
