Donald Trump calling Hillary Clinton a “nasty woman” during Wednesday’s final presidential debate has exploded into a meme of the week, and the move by many women to embrace the label has boosted everything from hashtags to shirts to Janet Jackson streams. Now, Rebecca Lobo has brought it to ESPN. During Thursday’s fifth and deciding game of the WNBA Finals between the Los Angeles Sparks and the Minnesota Lynx on ESPN2, play-by-play commentator Ryan Ruocco recapped the impressive stats of Lynx forward Maya Moore, and then Lobo (serving as the broadcast’s analyst) dropped more praise for Moore, including a very positive phrasing of the “nasty woman” line:
hi. rebecca lobo just referred to maya moore as a "nasty woman" and is now my new hero. https://t.co/jEqDj5cQm3

This would seem pretty apt even without the debate connection, as “nasty” has long been a positive term in sports, but the timing here makes it even more perfect. Well done by Lobo. Now, we just need to hear a “bad hombre” on SportsCenter…
