We’ve seen Herm Edwards go off before. Whether it’s the now-iconic “You play to win the game .. Hello? You play to win the game,” or his rant earlier this month on LeSean McCoy, the man certainly gives good quotes.
So when he had the opportunity to speak to high school football players at the All-American Football Camp this week, he took the ball and ran with it all the way to the end zone. While Edwards was coaching the players at the camp, he went right for the jugular and brought up TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin who was suspended for tonight’s Alamo Bowl for allegedly assaulting a police officer outside a San Antonio bar.
He told the players about Boykin and advised them, “DON’T BE THAT GUY!”
Herm certainly did his best to get through to the players. Now I’m fired up.
