When it comes to calling soul-crushing defeats, nobody does it better than Minnesota Vikings radio announcer Paul Allen.  Sorry, Vikings fans, but you’ve given your play by play man plenty of reps in this department over the years.

Allen was at it again last night as the Vikings lost a crucial late-season game in Arizona against the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.  While in range for a game-tying field goal, QB Teddy Bridgewater was sacked and fumbled, ending any hopes for Minnesota.

MY. GOD.

If you think that sounds somewhat familiar, it should!  One of the more famous losing-team calls in NFL history also came from Allen… also in Arizona… also in a game with playoff implications!  Let’s take the way back machine to 2003…

Both of those are great, but neither one is as good as what may be Allen’s most famous call… which, you guessed it… came in a Vikings defeat.
