Yesterday’s morning SportsCenter featured this episode of a runaway camera almost taking out anchor Hannah Storm. It occurred during one of those futuristic “let’s zoom the camera towards the anchor desk at 100 miles per hour” spots. Why those dizzying moments are necessary is beyond me, although maybe it’s supposed to add “excitement” and “realism” to the morning SportsCenter. As the camera crashes, Hannah Storm asks “are you all right young fella,” which confuses me, because I always figured these things were controlled by robotics and not actual human beings. That is, unless Bristol is filled with robots that have human characteristics on their way towards world domination, which would actually make total sense… (slowly walks away from computer)
