You can’t blame Jon Gruden for being slightly confused after the end of an abysmal Jets-Dolphins game while much of America was struggling to stay awake. As Miami intercepted Geno Smith to seal a 16-13 victory over the now 2-10 Jets, Gruden called it a “huge signature win for the Jets.”
Probably because he was feeling some sympathy for Chucky’s mix-up, Mike Tirico also managed to sign off from Miami instead of New York. While Gruden’s quote was humorous, let’s be honest – nobody should ever be that excited for squeaking out a victory over the New York Jets.
