Minnesota Timberwolves guard Robbie Hummel announced yesterday via Instagram that he is releasing a hip-hop album this fall:
Excited to announce that I’ve been in the studio grinding and have finally finished my first hip hop studio album, ROB: Road to Redemption. Look for it in stores and on iTunes this fall. #getmysnareup #turnmyheadphonesup!!!
That’s…interesting (?), but what’s even better is the Timberwolves PR Twitter response:
You get hacked, bro? RT @RobbieHummel Excited to announce that I've finally finished my first hip hop… http://t.co/CBZi37WLeb

That was our first thought, too, but Hummel assures us he was not:
@Twolves_PR no this is the real deal

Now the remaining question – can we count on the TWolves PR to help promote the album when it drops?
I’m guessing based on lyrics like “the ACL can burn in Hell” they will want to stay as far away from this one as possible:
219
On my grind
Got them haters on my mind
The ACL
Can burn in hell

Hey, at least Hummel is doing something in the off season that is keeping him out of trouble!
