YouTube TV subscribers who love March Madness, the Masters and any other shows or events on Paramount channels can rest easy. A deal has been reached.

On Saturday night, YouTube TV issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter) announcing the deal.

“Members, we’re happy to share that we’ve reached a deal to continue carrying Paramount content on YouTube TV,” the announcement said. “That means you still have access to channels like CBS, CBS Sports, and Nickelodeon. Add-ons like Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and BET+ also remain uninterrupted.”

“With this agreement, YouTube TV will continue to offer 100+ channels, while enabling more user choice in the future,” YouTube TV said in a follow-up message. “Thank you again for your patience, and as always, we appreciate your membership.

The two sides had been publicly locked in negotiations in the week leading up to Saturday’s announcement. Both YouTube TV and Paramount made announcements saying that YouTube TV customers could lose access to Paramount channels as early as Feb. 13. With that, access to events like March Madness and the Masters was at risk of being lost. A short-term extension was announced shortly thereafter but it wasn’t clear how much time that covered.

If nothing else, Saturday night’s announcement of an agreed-upon deal means that those events will definitely be viewable this year and in the near future.
