As the 2025 college football season approaches, Yahoo Sports has announced new plans for its coverage.
Perhaps most notably, the outlet has extended senior college football reporter Ross Dellenger, who will remain one of the faces of Yahoo’s CFB content.
In his role, Dellenger will continue to provide written content for Yahoo’s website, where he has established himself as one of college football’s top news-breakers, particularly when it comes to the business side of the industry. He’ll also continue to host the College Football Enquirer podcast, albeit with new co-hosts.
While Dellenger previously hosted the show alongside former Yahoo columnist Dan Wetzel (now at ESPN) and Sports Illustrated‘s Pat Forde, he’ll now do so with On3’s Andy Staples and longtime college football personality Steven Godfrey. The addition of Staples appears to be an extension of Yahoo’s new partnership with On3, which was formed when the college football fan site and recruiting network purchased Rivals from Yahoo earlier this year.

To that end, Yahoo has also announced that its website will feature a new On3 and Rivals portal dedicated to the sites’ college football and recruiting coverage. In addition to news and updates, the portal will showcase On3 and Yahoo Sports programming, including Andy & Ari On3, The Hard Count with J.D. PicKell, the College Football Enquirer and Josh Pate’s College Football Show, the latter of which On3 announced a partnership with on Tuesday.
“Between the action on the field and the decisions off it, there have never been more college sports stories to tell than now,” Yahoo Sports Head of Content Sam Farber said in a statement. “With these investments, we can deliver the kind of smart, in-depth coverage that will help fans better follow their favorite schools and understand the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics.”
