Over the past few years, we have seen the willingness of TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of the WWE, to hold some of its staple events internationally. And according to Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Alalshikh, this is set to be the case in the near future as well when it comes to WrestleMania.
In a Snapchat video that has since been deleted from Alalshikh, he revealed that WrestleMania will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
“We are announcing that for the first time, WrestleMania will take place outside America. WrestleMania will be coming to Saudi Arabia in 2027,” said Alalshikh in the video via Fightful.
While WWE has not yet confirmed this announcement, it could be confirmed shortly. According to Sean Ross of Fightful, an announcement was scheduled for Friday in Las Vegas during the press conference for Saturday’s Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez boxing match, which is, of course, being put on by TKO.
Those that Fightful Select spoke with claimed there was some sort of announcement set for Friday in Las Vegas, before the news leaked.

As Alalshikh mentioned in his video, if WrestleMania is indeed set to be held in Saudi Arabia, it would mark the first time the event has been held outside North America, with two prior editions of the show, WrestleMania 6 and WrestleMania 18, having been held in Canada.
However, it is far from the first WWE event to be held in Saudi Arabia, as WWE has hosted multiple events annually in the country as part of its ten-year partnership, which began in 2018.
Alalshikh mentioned just last year how he desired to have either a Royal Rumble or WrestleMania hosted in Saudi Arabia in the next few years. And now, Saudi Arabia is set to host both within two years, as the 2026 Royal Rumble, scheduled for January, will be held there.
Whether this will be WrestleMania 43 or another special Saudi event under the “WrestleMania” banner remains to be seen. WWE held a one-time Greatest Royal Rumble event in April 2018 as the first premium live event in the country.
