Cody Rhodes is a man of many talents, and the WWE Undisputed Champion will showcase another one of those talents soon. Rhodes will show off his acting chops in the previously announced Naked Gun reboot.
Paramount announced the “rounded-out” cast for the currently untitled project on Thursday. Rhodes joined a plethora of names, including rapper Busta Rhymes along with CCH Pounder and Liza Koshy.
Deadline Hollywood reported the news of Rhodes’ inclusion in the show.
EXCLUSIVE: Paramount has rounded out the cast for its untitled ‘Naked Gun’ reboot with four additions: Liza Koshy, current WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, CCH Pounder and Busta Rhymes https://t.co/CBUK5lkhIl

Perhaps in some somewhat dispiriting news, Deadline indicated that Rhodes “will only make a cameo” in the new Naked Gun film. This is not the WWE Champion’s first exploration into television. He previously appeared in the once-popular CW series Arrow.
Rhodes is the latest WWE star to be announced for a television or movie project. WWE superstar Liv Morgan appeared in The Kill Room, a movie featuring prominent actors Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson. Additionally, Charlotte Flair and former WWE Champion Ettore “Big E” Ewen were recently announced for roles in an upcoming indie horror film and a Peacock comedy series. WWE’s recent sale to Endeavor has opened up the floodgates a bit for their talent to seek out different projects. As they say, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
