Just as she did with the women’s NCAA Tournament, Caitlin Clark is bringing more attention to the WNBA than has ever been in place before. And on Inside the NBA, prior to Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, Charles Barkley not only praised Clark but bashed people who take issue with the attention she gets.

In his recent Mind the Game podcast with JJ Redick, LeBron James spoke highly of Clark and the attention she’s bringing the WNBA. He also acknowledged the backlash she’s received, comparing it to what his son, Bronny James, is going through.

“There’s a very small number of men and women that actually get to live out their dream of playing a professional sport, and we have grown-*** men and women out here doing whatever they can to try to make sure that does not happen,” James said. “That is the weirdest thing in the world.”

That was music to Barkley’s ears.

“You women out there, ya’ll petty, man,” Barkley said. “Hey, LeBron, you’re 100% right on these girls hating on Caitlin Clark. Ya’ll petty, girls. I expect men to be petty, because we’re the most insecure group in the world, Y’all should be thanking that girl for getting y’all *** private charters, all the money and visibility she’s bringing to the WNBA. Don’t be petty like dudes.

“Listen, what she’s accomplished, give her her flowers. Stop being petty, all you women out there. She got y’all *** charters. She’s bringing all y’all this money to the table but y’all being petty like dudes. LeBron, you are 100% right. Y’all girls, Stop being petty. Caitlin Clark, thank you for bringing all that money and shine to the WNBA.”
