Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson is one of the best players in WNBA history and is apparently also one of the league’s great philosophic minds.
The Aces haven’t quite been the dominant force in 2025 that they have been in recent years, but they secured an 86-83 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Friday night to lift their record to 20-14 on the season after their sixth straight win.
Wilson had 30 points and 16 rebounds in the win and currently leads the Aces in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks. But after the game, she had quite the quote about not forcing her play on the floor that led to an incredible reaction from teammate Chelsea Gray.
**It’s like forcing a fart, all you get is 💩** – A’ja MF Wilson
I am dyinggg! And look at Chelsea’s face!

“If I try to force it because I want this win so bad for my team, it’s like forcing a fart, all you get is s—. So I’ve just really learned to be patient with myself but also my teammates and so I think that game kind of showed it,” Wilson said.
After giving her best shocked face, Gray perfectly replied “That’s gonna go viral.”
It’s sage advice from A’ja Wilson when you think about. It’s much better to just let things happen naturally rather than forcing something that isn’t there. After all, we learned at this year’s British Open that Scottie Scheffler would have the same advice after he admitted to letting loose a loud fart on a hot mic on his way to victory at Royal Portrush.
Maybe we should all heed the advice of the best athletes in the world when it comes to the way they approach passing gas. It could be a secret to their success.
