Significant changes are coming to the United Football League for the 2026 season. On Tuesday night, we found out what some of those are.
While noting “plenty more changes to come,” James Larsen of Pro Football Newsroom reported that all four of the UFL’s USFL Conference teams from the 2025 season: The Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats and Michigan Panthers will be relocated.

Earlier on Tuesday, Larsen reported that “the four new UFL markets will be Boise (Idaho), Columbus (Ohio), Florida (likely Orlando), and Kentucky (Louisville/Lexington).”

The 2025 season was the second for the UFL. In late 2023, the USFL and XFL merged. Fox, which owned the USFL before the merger, owns half of the league. The other half is owned by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Dany Garcia and RedBird Capital Partners.
Interest in the league was down in 2025 compared to 2024, as the ratings dropped during the season all the way through to the Championship Game.
