Less than a week after it was first announced, Dana White is providing new details regarding the UFC event that will take place at the White House next summer.
President Donald Trump first shared the news of the event during a Fourth of July speech, with the show planned to be a part of next year’s America250 celebration. And while a lot can change over the course of the next year, White is already promising a fight card worthy of such a showcase.
“The whole UFC landscape will change over the next year. We’ll see where we’re at,” the UFC president told the Full Send Podcast this week. “And we will absolutely, positively put on the baddest card of all time… this is going to be a super exceptional pay-per-view card.”
While it’s obviously too early to know what the card will look like, White didn’t rule out the possibility of UFC’s two biggest stars in Conor McGregor and Jon Jones being featured on the show. That would be quite the feat considering that McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021, while Jones recently announced his retirement, relinquishing the UFC heavyweight championship.
As for the show’s potential main event, White said that the ideal fight would be the long-awaited matchup between Jones and the new UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.
“The dream main event right now would be Aspinall vs. Jones,” White said.

While Jones has previously appeared averse to fighting Aspinall, White confirmed that the 37-year-old former heavyweight champion has already reentered himself into the required drug testing pool. In multiple social media posts over the last week, Jones — a public supporter of Trump’s — has expressed a desire to be featured on the White House card.
It would be, for me it’s about the opportunity to represent America at the White House. I don’t care who I fight that night. I found my reason why, that’s what I needed, something that was more than money https://t.co/jdVDVyYakw

As for other details for the event, White said that the fights will take place with the White House and Washington Monument serving as backdrops. He also said that he expects that the show will be invite-only, with Trump previously predicting a crowd of approximately 25,000 people.
As White noted, plenty can and will change for the UFC over the course of the next year, especially as the MMA giant continues to negotiate a new media rights deal. But as long as the White House show comes to fruition, it’s hard to imagine it being anything but the most noteworthy show in the history of the promotion.
