Banana Ball keeps getting bigger and bigger.

The Savannah Bananas’ latest move to linear television will see 19 of its games air on truTV, the company announced on Tuesday.

The package of games will begin on August 16 and follow the Bananas as they travel through MLB stadiums including the Chicago White Sox’s Rate Field, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ PNC Park, the San Diego Padres’ Petco Park, Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, the Seattle Mariners’ T-Mobile Park, and the Houston Astros’ Daikin Park. TruTV will also air the first ever Banana Ball Tour Championship, which will take place October 2-11 at the Bananas’ home park in Savannah.

The deal marks the second time truTV has struck an agreement with the Savannah Bananas. Last summer, the network reached an agreement with the team to air five games. Clearly, the network was happy with how that run of telecasts went.

The Savannah Bananas have found numerous other deals with traditional television networks throughout the summer. ESPN will finish its run of Banana Ball on August 15, and The CW recently aired a game on July 27. This deal with truTV, however, is the most extensive the team has struck to date by volume of games.

It seems that Banana Ball is quickly becoming a popular television sport, and everyone wants a slice.
