Everyone knows that the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl last night.

Well, almost everyone. England’s Daily Mail made a massive flub, confusing the Patriots with New England’s MLS club, the New England Revolution.

And it’s not as if this was just an errant headline – the Mail confused the Patriots and the Revs two more times in the first two paragraphs of their Super Bowl story.

I know today is Deadline Day in the Premier League and that the English likely have soccer on the brain, and I know the Revolution made it all the way to the MLS Cup in the fall *and* are owned by Robert Kraft *and* play at Gillette Stadium… but this is inexplicable. Roger Goodell may want a team in London some day, but American football still has a long way to go across the pond.
