Earlier this week we told you about Stephen A. Smith’s new contract with ESPN that ensures he’ll be hurting your eardrums for several more years. Now comes this tidbit from ESPN sage Jim Miller. Smith’s salary in his new contract is greater than $3 million dollars.
Three. Million. Dollars. To yell and scream about sports on television. Three. Million. Dollars.
Enough to make you a Bolshevik: @stephenasmith new deal with @espn has him in $3.1 million to 3.5 range annually.

Want to become even more depressed? That salary puts Smith on par with the average MLB player and above the pay grades of the average NFL and NHL player. It would have put him in the Top 10 of MLS salaries.
This year Russell Wilson made $817,302 dollars. And Stephen A. Smith will more than triple that. What is wrong with this world?
