Our friend Ed Sherman made this humorous observation that’s worth shedding some light on quite the coincidence.
Jordan Spieth unsurprisingly landed on the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated after his Masters triumph. If you had “Jordan Rules” as the banner headline, congrats to you. But under that, they also made the bold proclamation that the Spieth Era has begun.
However, we have to decide whose era it will really be as the magazine did the same thing after Rory McIlroy’s dominating US Open win at Congressional. Or maybe, the McIlroy Era was just that brief!
Spieth Era? McIlroy Era? While we’re at it, I’m holding out hope for the Boo Weekley Era.
