Getting locked out of the news van is one of the most embarrassing things that can happen if you’re doing a live remote.
Now, imagine if you get locked out of the news van…while it’s snowing. That’s what happened to Maryland reporter Scott Broom of WUSA9.
Not great, Scott. He got out of the van to clean ice off of the windshield wipers, leaving the key in the ignition with the car running, and was locked out when he went to get back in. Maybe he should have taken the five seconds to turn the van off.
Thankfully, a police officer was able to get Broom back into his news van and back on the road.
