The New York Mets beat the Chicago Cubs in the NLCS this week, extending Chicago’s World Series title drought to 107 years.

In commemoration of the Cubs’ ouster (I guess), the New York Times created a pretty awesome 1908-style sports page highlighting the Mets’ victory.

times1908It’s really quite well done, with the language, box score, pictures, and layout all resembling an era that has long since passed.
