If there’s someone in the sports media whose shoulder you would want to cry on it would be… Mike Francesa? After Chase Utley’s dirty slide knocked out Ruben Tejada, a Mets fan called in to Francesa in tears asking for Matt Harvey to take some retribution against the Dodgers. I think after listening to this, Francesa would rather deal with 100 prank callers than one expressing something resembling human emotion.
UPDATE: Unbelievably, Will called back into Francesa’s show today… and he’s going to the Mets game with the pope tonight. Dreams do come true, America.
