Perhaps the most iconic element of any pregame show in sports is Lee Corso wearing the respective mascot head for his final pick on College GameDay. It’s perhaps the most famous tradition in prognostication.
The basketball version of College GameDay is still in its infancy, but analyst Jay Williams seems to be developing his own unique way of making the dramatic final pick for the game at the host site.
Today he ripped off his suit to reveal a UConn jersey and then in the ULTIMATE SWERVE, ripped that off to reveal an SMU jersey. The jury might be out on the jersey gag, but as long as Williams is that enthusiastic about it, it may have some hope to stick.
