It was Dominic Kinnear’s final game as the head coach of the Houston Dynamo. Next season he’ll head back home and take on the role as the coach for the San Jose Earthquakes. Following his final game, he was interviewed by CSN Houston’s Sebastian Salazar.
What followed was unexpected.
Kinnear had a lot of good times in Houston, including two MLS Cups and four Conference titles. He also mentions how much fun he has had and all of the great relationships he has made while head coach. That includes fun times with Salazar, who he had to joke around with one last time.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a big smooch planted on a reporter. You might remember P.K. Subban kissing Pierre McGuire after a big Game 7 victory. Or Tristan Thompson and Allie Clifton last week. But if this becomes a trend, we feel like an even more extremely uncomfortable encounter lurks in the future should too many players/coaches start smooching during interviews.
