We live in a time where local sports personalities who make it to the national stage can maintain their fanatical instincts instead of ditching all rooting interests in favor of impartiality. Two of the most notable are Boston-loving Sports Guy Bill Simmons and billboard-buying Miami Guy Dan Le Batard.
Simmons tweaked Le Batard by posting this picture of the Boston Celtics ahead of the Miami Heat for the last playoff spot in the East on Sunday.
Dan Le Batard (and Papi) had this response, which I’m sure goes against something in ESPN’s social media policy:
